TUBITAK continues to bring the solar energy car excitement to Turkey.

Formula G Solar Car Races first started in 2005 and became traditional. In Turkey, Formula G Races were organized twice: first one named Ege Cup, took place on July 7-8-9th 2006 in Izmir-Pinarbasi Racing Circuit, and the second one named Turkey Cup on July 21-22nd 2006 in Istanbul Park Circuit.

 The cars that join the race Formula G, are samples the first experiments of the future of the solar car industry.

Although the teams that joined this organization have inadequate resources, they designed future’s cars by their appreciable efforts.

We hope that the cars which are produced for these races required supports will represent our country best in international areas if they are funded well both by the universites and the industry.

The next race, Formula G 2007 Race, will be organized in July in Eski Hipodrom Ankara.
