After having been the 3rd place of TUBITAK Electric Vehicle Race 2014, with a great gain of success, S7 has became the champion of Moroccan Solar Race Challenge 2014, as the Dokuz Eylul University Solaris Team.

We have completed the whole race that hold in between Marrakech and Benguérir with the time difference 15 minutes by the nearest solar vehicle. By this success, Solaris took the title of the first Turkish team which won the solar race in the international area.

 
    Dokuz Eylul University has been represented by 7-person team in these years event. The last year, which was the first time holding the race, we were 2nd place with Solaris 2 vehicle. This year we participated the race with two vehicles and the ranking of the race is shown below:

This award is the second award for the Solaris 7 vehicle. The last year, our S7 vehicle had been awarded by TUBITAK, which is the institution hold the alternative energy vehicle races in Turkey. S7 is also, our World Solar Challenge 2013 event vehicle, has placed 6th position in its classman.

Also MSRC 2014 has become the source of moral support for the another abroad race called Europan Solar Challenge 2014, where will held in Belgium, Zolder. We undertake the first and singular Turkish team which is invited from Europan Solar Challenge event.
